Animation.

I hope to create a piece of motion graphics or animation for this project so I decided to look at animation techneques that I may consider using. One of which is Rotoscoping: a technique in which animators trace over live action movement, frame by frame, for use in animated films. Originally, pre-recorded live-film images were projected onto a frosted glass panel and redrawn by an animator. This projection equipment is called a Rotoscope.

A Scanner Darkly is a 2006 film starring Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Woody Harrelson and Robert Downey, Jr.

The entire movie was filmed digitally using the Panasonic AG-DVX100 and then animated with Rotoshop, a proprietary graphics editing program created by Bob Sabiston.

Ive always been a fan of Frank Miller and love his style of animation in his comic books, in particular that of Sin City.

Below is a link to a realy cool animation from Good Technology (collaboration with The Daily Telegraph and illustrator Frazer Irving) for the TV campaign for the Audi RS4.

It is a short film a dark and complex story depicting the mysterious nature of the Sinister Beauty proposition: “Beneath”.
“Beneath”

'What Barry says' a brilliant piece of motion graphics.
